Things people ask us

How do I switch my prescriptions to Medix?

Tell us and we'll do the rest. Nominate Medix through the NHS App, at the counter, or by asking your GP surgery. Once it's set, prescriptions come to us electronically.

Do I need an appointment?

Not for NHS prescriptions or over-the-counter advice. Walk in any time we're open. Our private clinics and NHS Pharmacy First consultations are appointment-based, though we usually have same-week slots and often same-day.

Do you deliver?

Yes, in and around Stevenage. Eligible patients get one free delivery a month; after that it's £4 a delivery. If you're not eligible, delivery is £4. And if we come out and nobody's in, a second attempt is another £4, so it's worth telling us a safe place to leave it, or a day that suits you. Just ask us at the counter or give us a ring. Can a pharmacist really prescribe?

Yes. Daniel Cheung (GPhC 2056659) and Hok Yan Wong (GPhC [ to confirm ]) are both pharmacist independent prescribers, so they can prescribe privately within their own areas of competence. You can look either of them up on the GPhC register. Separately, for NHS Pharmacy First conditions, any of our pharmacists can supply treatment under the national service. That one's free on the NHS.

How is my information kept private?

Everything you tell us is confidential and held to NHS information governance standards. We only share information with your GP where you've agreed to it, or where we're required to. Full detail is in our privacy notice.
